At La.Kao, we are dedicated to providing Vietnamese tea from ancient tea forests nestled in the high mountains. These areas are shrouded in mist year-round and far from residential zones.
The impressive altitudes and rugged weather create ideal conditions for the tea trees to thrive, resulting in lush, verdant growth over the centuries. Our teas capture the essence of the northern mountains, where unique geology and fertile soils transform each tender leaf bud into a source of pure, exquisite flavor. The production of such high-quality teas reflects the dedication of our experienced tea artisans and the heartfelt commitment of our skilled tea pickers.
The peaks stretch from 1,500 to 3,000 meters above sea level, featuring unique terrain rich in organic matter and minerals. These ancient high-mountain tea trees of Northern Vietnam are endowed with unparalleled nutrients. The diverse rocks and sediments contribute to a distinctive mineral structure in the soil, creating an ideal environment for tea trees to absorb the essence of the mountains and forests in their leaves.Crafting premium tea is a work of passion and dedication. After many years of working under the reliable guidance of tea artisans, skilled tea pickers hand-pick each young bud with love and care. Meanwhile, our experienced tea artisans pass on their passion for tea, expertise, and commitment to each step of creating Vietnam's finest and most medicinal teas. Thanks to this, La.Kao offers premium natural teas, encapsulating the quintessence of rich nature and the spirit of the Vietnamese people to bring joy to tea lovers worldwide.
At La.Kao, we proudly present our wide selection of natural Vietnamese teas, categorized into four main types: white tea, black tea, green tea, and seasonal tea. Our collection includes cherished varieties such as the beloved Snow Shan (Camellia Sinensis), the rare Camellia Crassicolumna, and the unique Moyen Tonkin (Chine Macrophylla).
We are meticulously select and dedicated to showcasing ancient Vietnamese teas, each with an extraordinary flavor. To ensure we share the highest quality loose-leaf teas from Vietnam, we build trustworthy relationships with tea artisans and frequently visit the growing regions to observe the processing that doesn't use chemicals and additives. This commitment to purity allows tea lovers to enjoy natural flavors, discover delightful nuances, and brew them without rinsing.
The young tea buds, organically cultivated at ideal altitudes and under challenging climatic conditions, capture the essence of their environment, leading to remarkable aromas and flavors. Our artisans carefully select the finest young tea buds and process them immediately after harvest to preserve their natural taste. Depending on the type of tea and the processing method, these buds are transformed into premium loose-leaf teas, each offering a rich, intricate flavor that develops over time.
Each spring, we introduce new white and green teas celebrated for their exceptional flavors and aromas, maintaining a consistent taste across multiple infusions. For our red and black teas, we collaborate closely with our tea artisans to develop flavors over time, creating a sophisticated and evolving tasting journey with each brew. Additionally, we enhance the flavor experience at La.Kao by selecting specific woven scented teas or aged tea leaves combined with herbal infusions designed for each season.
At La.Kao, there are numerous fascinating ways to savor the taste and scent of tea, as it transcends being simply a beverage. It's a chance to gain insight into yourself and discover unexpected joy every time you enjoy a cup. We have meticulously tested and refined the techniques for both hot and cold brewing to showcase the finest flavors of our premium teas for enthusiasts. We provide particular suggestions on temperature and brewing duration for each type of tea, especially for hot servings. Nevertheless, we invite you to explore your preferred flavors by trying variations within 2-3 degrees of our recommended temperatures and adjusting the brewing time by 5-20 seconds according to your taste.
For hot tea, we utilize a handleless teapot crafted from rustic porcelain. We focus on the tea's flavor with every brew, carefully monitoring the water temperature and brewing time. Using pure water that has been boiled and then cooled to the ideal temperature for each tea type, we pour the water over the leaves and allow them to steep for the specified period before serving.
This approach brings distinct flavors to each infusion: The first pot has a refined aroma and subtle taste. The second pot provides a more pronounced and deep flavor, while the third pot lets you enjoy the lingering aftertaste. Thanks to the rich essence of ancient natural tea at La.Kao, you can brew multiple pots from the same dry tea amount, allowing you to enjoy leisurely and delightful tea while experiencing its evolving flavors throughout each brew.
For cold brew tea, the premium dry tea simplifies the numerous preparation steps. Just steep the dry tea leaves directly in pure water at room temperature, then place the infuser in the refrigerator. After roughly 10 hours, the tea will be ready to drink.
A quick note: cold-brewed green tea is best consumed within 24 hours, while certain white and black teas can be enjoyed for over 48 hours. Be sure to taste the cold-brewed tea and determine the optimal time to finish it for the delicious experience you seek!
